The first tree-house in France open to clients is 10 metres high: It is the "Chateau" tree-house in Domaine des Ormes. It was on Valentine's Day 2004. In the beginning, this tree-house was a gift from Arnaud de La Chesnais to his sister Sonia for her weeding night in October 2003.

The "Chateau" tree-house at Domaine des Ormes is rectangular. When we built up the first round tree-house (the "Chênes" tree-house, in 2004), we had to create a hooping system similar to those used on barrels.

The first tree-house built in the Finistère region is the "Korrigan tree-house" at Manoir du Treuscoat

A few months before implementing their current system of ecological toilets, Domaine des Ormes tested chemical toilets. It was all the better for stopping this! These chemical toilets weighed 30 pounds when empty and more than 90 pounds when full! It was bulky, inconvenient and not ecological! And it did not smell of flowers!

Before inventing the "classical" ecological toilets which now equip the tree-houses, Domaine des Ormes created a system of parachuting bags! Many visitors still remember it! It was rather clever, but not always practical when it was windy!!
